Enya is an Irish singer and songwriter. This song comes from her Day Without Rain album and is one of my favorite albums.

I first heard this song from the movie, Good Morning, Vietnam. This is one of those perfect songs. Perfect melody, perfect words and perfect singer for this song.

This is one of my favorite songs and works well as solo guitar piece, song with vocals and in a big band setting. The music was composed by the Brazilian composer, Luiz Bonfá. One interesting factoid is that the song is known by different names depending on where you live in the world including, Black Orpheus, Theme from Black Orpheus, Manhã de Carnaval, La Chanson d’Orphée, A Day in the Life of a Fool, and Carnival.
