Wayfaring Stranger – Easy Arrangement for Classical Guitar

Wayfaring Stranger is one of my favorite American folk songs. I’ve always loved the simplicity of the melody. Many popular artists have recorded this song including: Burl Ives, Jack White, and Emmylou Harris. This arrangement comes from my first volume of easy arrangements.

Tutku – With Sheet Music and Tab

I composed Tutku in October 2024. Tutku means “passion” in Turkish. I wanted to fill this piece up with as much passion as I could summon.

It makes use of my all-time favorite scale ever–the A harmonic minor scale which goes: A, B, C, D, E, F, G-sharp and back to A.

Nothing Else Matters (Sheet Music and TAB)

Nothing Else Matters by Metallica is a great song by a great band. It comes from their Black Album released in 1991.

At that time I was in high school and a huge rock/metal fan. I started playing guitar a few years before that in late-middle school. Inspired by Guns n’ Roses, Metallica, Van Halen, etc. I remember getting the tabs at this time and trying to play it and it didn’t go well! At that time I had very limited fingerpicking abilities.

Making an arrangement of a song like this can be challenging. How do distill a four piece band, with overdubs, into a single guitar arrangement? How do you play the guitar solo while also having a strong foundation with 5 fingers and 6 strings? It’s certainly a challenge. I hope you enjoy the performance!

My 5 Favorite Arrangements (Includes Sheet Music/TAB)

My top 5 favorite arrangement include:

Moonlight Sonata (1st Movement) by Beethoven

Malagueña (Easy Arrangement)

Adagio in G Minor (A min transposed)

Greensleeves

House of the Rising Sun

Moonlight Sonata is just a classic piece of music by one of the greatest composers of all time. I didn’t know if it would work on guitar but I did listen to other versions so I figured it was possible. I get requests all of the time to arrange the fast third movement but I don’t know about that.

The Malagueña is a CLASSIC. I actually have two arrangements of this piece. The other is a harder arrangement which you can find here:

The next three arrangements are all “easy arrangements.” I realize “easy” is in the eye of the beholder. My goal was to simplify them as much as possible while still allowing the “essence” to come through.

All of these are available through my membership. With that you get ALL of my sheet music and tabs as well as ALL of my video lessons. You can learn more here: https://robertlunn.com/become-a-member

Twilight is No More (Free Sheet Music/TAB)

Twilight is No More is a piece I composed for the late-beginner to early-intermediate guitarist. It explores my favorite scale, the A harmonic minor scale.

The piece is designed to help developing guitarists strengthen their arpeggios as well as scale passages, while also introducing them to the unique sound world of harmonic minor.

I hope you enjoy playing it!
